On arrival our team will take off the cover, and inspect for any problems before folding it up for storage. We will unplug all outlets and reinstall baskets, returns, and drain covers. We will unwinterize all equipment, inspecting for signs of problems, and get the system up and running. Once running, we will vacuum, skim, and brush down the pool. Once completed, we will install railings and ladders, shock the pool or spa, and check water balance before leaving.

Routine Pool Maintenance
Breakwater Pools offers weekly, biweekly, and chemical checks.
Upon arrival our team will skim the top of your pool and empty baskets before starting to vacuum. After a thorough cleaning of your pool or spa, we will balance out the water and begin brushing. The equipment will be assessed to ensure all is working properly, checking heaters to be sure they fire up along with filter pressure to see if it needs to be back washed or cleaned as needed. Chemical check services include balancing water along with looking at the filter area to make sure everything is in working order.

When your plaster is looking unsightly, we can come out to drain down the water and acid wash, giving your pool that newer looking finish again.
This is contingent that the plaster is not too old and porous - we don’t want to make it any rougher. Acid washing too many times can make it feel rough, like sandpaper on your feet. Before acid washing, breakwater pools will confirm with the pool owner how old the plaster is, if it has been acid washed before, and how it already feels on your feet. After collecting the data we can determine if it can be done.

When closing times comes, breakwater pools will come out to take off all fittings, ladders, and handrails. We will blow out the lines and cap, along with dismantling the filter and cleaning then winterizing the pumps, heater etc. Additionally, we will check for possible problems or upgrades that will prevent down-time in the spring. Your pool or spa will be shocked, and your cover secured for the winter. Having your pool or spa closed by a professional is essential to prevent broken pipes come spring. Winter Pool & Spa Maintenance

We offer this service to pool owners to help protect your investment though the winter months. Upon arrival, we will check the water level and pump water down to prevent ice damage to tile and coping, along with overflowing issues. We will add shock to help keep water from turning green and trying to give you a better opening come spring. Once the above services are finished, we will check and make sure the cover is secure.

I started working for one of the biggest vinyl companies in Western Massachusetts and then one of the biggest gunite pool companies in Connecticut before finally making my way to Cape Cod and working for a company here.
